Hunter locals, let’s support those among us who serve our country

The Hunter is a significant Defence region, hosting key RAAF and Army bases, including the RAAF Base Williamtown, Australia’s premier jet fighter base, along with the Lone Pine Army Barrack’s School of Infantry and Special Forces Training Centre in Singleton. Defence and defence industries in the Hunter employ over 4,600 people, and contribute over $1.3 billion annually (Source: NSW Department of Industry, 2014-15).

As a Hunter local, we invite you to be a part of HDSN, networking together as locals to support our valued local Hunter Defence community. We aim for all Defence members posted to the Hunter to be supported and integrated as locals within our community, in order for them and their families to thrive. We have listed a number of ways you can be involved below.

How can I support?

1. Attend an INTEGRATION EVENT

HDSN partners with numerous local civilian organizations to create fun, Defence themed integration events, providing opportunities for Defence members to know more about the Hunter region and its local civilian community, and vice versa. These events aim to create support networks and improve relationship bonds among local families and friends, and raise the funds needed to continue our organisation.

2. inspire your team with an afterburner keynote or workshop
